Telephone calls

The imprisoned person as well as the arrested person shall be entitled to use a telephone (except a mobile telephone). The cost of telephone calls shall be incurred by the imprisoned person.
The imprisoned person may only use telephone cards attained through the medium of the prison, and currently it is also forbidden to use Voicenet cards.
Telephone calls are governed by § 28-29 and § 96-97 of the Imprisonment Act and by §§ 51-52 of Minister of Justice Regulation No 72 of 30 November 2000 “Prison Rules of Internal Procedure.”
